David KESTER, Chief EXecutive of the Design Council, UK
"Who will design your life?"
David Kester was appointed Chief Executive of the Design
Council in 2003. He has refocused the orgnisation as a
national strategic body for design with priorities around
strengthening competitiveness in industry, driving innovation
in pubic services and supporting the growth of our creative
economy.
Previously, David has held senior leadership roles within
business, including nine years as the Chief Executive of
D&AD. He is a council member of the Royal College of Art,
special advisor to the Design Business Association and
site on a number of government and industry committees
including the RSA and DCMS.
