BIDC is a public institution possessing independent legal qualification.
BIDC is promotion institution that assists the governement to
promote the development of design creative industry.
Relying on governmental guidance and resource advantages of
the capital, BIDC aims to highlights design and creation on certain
techonological level, improve enterprises ability for innovation,
promote the development of design creative industry, drive
the transfer of scientific and techonological achievements and
serve for the development of national economy.
Closely contacting with the government, design agencies,
universities and colleges, manufacturers and some social
organizations, BIDC engages in constructing the Design Resource
Cooperation network.

A Special design award aiming at encouraging design innovation of
Chinese enterprises, will come out in the First Beijing International
Cultural & Creative Industry Expo in the next month.
Jointly established by China Industrial Design Association and
BeijingIndustrial Design Center, the Award targets domestic
enterprises and design institutions registering in China.
Moreover, all entries should be actual products with mass products.
It is learnt that the examination board of the Award is composed of
19 experts in the fields of design and economy at home and abroad,
including the President of International Council of Societies of
Industrial Design (ICSID) Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, Executive Director &
Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Design Society of America
(IDSA) Kristina Goodrich, etc..
